Miracles Happening Today in 2023 and before
Jesus performed miracles when he walked the earth, and is still performing now through His body, the church, His bride, the believers. In Mark 16:15 - 18, Jesus stated the following:
15He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. 16Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."
What is a miracle? Noah Webster defines “miracle” as “an event that contradicts known scientific law.” So a miracle is a supernatural act in the natural realm. God actually suspends the Laws of Nature and moves supernaturally.
There are four types of miracles listed by Pastor John Hamel-
- miracle over nature (A miracle over nature would be a miracle performed over natural things. Jesus turned water into unfermented wine in John, chapter 2.);
- miracle of supply (Jesus saith unto him, Then are the children free. Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and TAKE UP THE FISH THAT FIRST COMETH UP; AND WHEN THOU HAST OPENED HIS MOUTH, THOU SHALT FIND A PIECE OF MONEY: that take, and give unto them for me and thee." (Matthew 17:24-27)
- miracle of healing ("And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and HEALING ALL MANNER OF SICKNESS AND ALL MANNER OF DISEASE among the people." (Matthew 4:23) );
- miracle over demon powers ("And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. And all the city was gathered together at the door. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and CAST OUT MANY DEVILS; AND SUFFERED NOT THE DEVILS TO SPEAK, because they knew him." (Mark 1:32-34 )).
